| Parent & Duk
The Parent & Me skill level is where the enjoyment of the water begins. A variety of activities are designed to introduce water awareness to the child and parent.
The focus at this level is to get the child comfortable and happy in the water. An excellent way to introduce the nervous child to the water.
Toddler Duk
The Toddler skill level is where the Parent learns to take a backward step and allow the toddler to experience their balance in the water. A variety of activities are designed to encourage the child to let go. The focus at this level is to motivate the child to become a little independent in the water.
Puddle Duk - Level I
The Puddle Duk skill level is where the building of a confident swimmer begins. The class is designed to introduce beginning swimming skills by encouraging the child to 'go it alone' on a limited scale. The focus at this level is to get the child comfortable and happy entering, in, and exiting the water independently.
Splashy Duk - Level II
The Splashy Duk skill level is where the introduction of more advanced skills begin. Backstroke and Freestyle and elementary Breaststroke. Retrieving rings from the bottom of the pool is a fun skill to learn.
Speedy Duk - Level III
The Speedy Duk skill level is where the introduction of correct terminology is taught. We are also working on endurance skills and basic water safety tecniques.
Super Duk - Level IV
Super Duk is our top level so we are getting ready for swim team. Flip turns are introduced and side breathing with freestyle, also beginner butterfly.
Endurance skills are very important in this level. |
