Swimming at Aqua Duks

  • Download the Aqua Duks app, create your account, and choose a lesson time that works for your family. Registration and payment are completed in the app.

  • Yes. Because lessons are private, swimmers receive focused instruction the entire time. For most children, 20 minutes matches attention span and physical ability better than longer group lessons. If you’re looking for more time in the water for even faster progress, you can enroll in multiple sessions.

  • Your swimmer receives a progress book, t-shirt, tote bag, and insurance coverage while enrolled.

  • Our instructors complete extensive in-water training and hold nationally recognized swim instruction certifications along with CPR and First Aid training.

  • No. Our approach focuses on gradually building comfort, confidence, and foundational swim skills through trust-based instruction rather than intensive short-term programs.

Common Swim Lesson Questions

  • As early as you can! Many families start as early as 3 months old to help children build comfort and safety skills early.

  • Every swimmer progresses differently based on age, comfort level, and lesson consistency. With regular lessons, swimmers steadily gain confidence and independence in the water.

  • Crying is common at first due to separation anxiety or unfamiliar situations. With consistency, swimmers build trust and confidence and typically settle in after a few lessons.

  • Floating teaches buoyancy and helps swimmers learn how to stay safe and calm in the water, forming the foundation for independent swimming.

  • Unfortunately, there is no such thing as fully water-safe. Lessons improve skills and safety awareness, but constant adult supervision is always essential.

Our Facility & Classes

  • Only if recommended by a physician. Most swimmers do not need them.

  • No. All lessons take place in our Aqua Duks indoor facility, where swimmers benefit from consistent water temperature, controlled learning environments, and year-round instruction.

  • No. Our facility is dedicated solely to swim instruction so swimmers can learn in a focused, structured, and safe environment.
